The 2012 swim season is underway! Practice this week will be 6-7 pm 10 & under and 7-8 pm for 11 and older. Beginning May 29 and for the rest of the season 10 & under will practice 7-8pm and 11 & older 8-9 pm. Remember no practice on Fridays or Memorial Day.

Let's Celebrate!
Next Monday, August 15th, 2011 please join us in celebrating an undefeated swim season and our 3rd year in a row of winning Association Meet! Dinner will be at 5:30at the Community Center next to the pool. Please bring 2 dishes to share. After dinner we will hand out awards including medals won at the Association Meet.
We will then have our pool party from 7-9pm at the Pearisburg Town Pool.
Way to go Jets for a wonderful season and hard earned win at the Association Meet-proud of you all.

Tickets and money are due tomorrow for the tablet pc or ipad raffle. Drawing will be held during the home meet Thursday against Welch.

Upcoming swim meets
Jets-we have 2 meets this week. Tuesday, July 12 we travel to Concord in WV. Please arrive by 4:45.
Thursday we have our last regular season meet at home against Welch. Please arrive at 4:30 to help set up. If you have not signed up for a job during the meet-please do so tomorrow at practice. Remember-if you typically time-please volunteer for concessions, so those individuals can see the meet too. We also need food for the concession stand. Please sign up for food to bring for concessions. We sold out of fruit at the last home meet.
The following week, we travel to Tazewell on July 19 for the Relay Meet. If you have not signed up to attend-please do so. Parents are encouraged to swim too!
Saturday, July 23 is the Association Meet at Concord. Entries are due by the end of this week. We can NOT add a swimmer after entries are submitted. Please let me if you can now attend the Association Meet.
It is very important that swimmers make it to ALL practices these last 2 weeks. See you tomorrow!

Jets WIN vs. Tazewell
Giles Jets out swam Tazewell Torpedoes, winning 386 to 218. Many Jets continue to improve upon their seed time-WAY TO GO! Swimmers be proud-you all swam hard!

Practice Updates

We will NOT have practice tonight, Tuesday, June 21, 2011. We will resume tomorrow at the Pearisburg Town Pool-regular practice times.
